Today marks the 20th anniversary of Terri Schiavo’s unjust and inhumane death—nearly two weeks after being denied food and water. As we close this 13-day reflection, we remember not only the tragedy of Terri’s final moments, but the profound impact her life continues to have on the fight for human dignity.
Terri’s story is a somber reminder that basic care—like food and water—should never be considered extraordinary. And today, as we honor her memory, we also extend our prayers to those who were involved in her death, including Michael Schiavo.
