Dear Friends of Life: Since 2012, the world has taken part in the one-day giving initiative the Tuesday after Thanksgiving called “Giving Tuesday.”Thanks to the generosity of one of our donors, South Carolina Citizens for Life has a matching gift up to $20,000. Any charitable donation made today only for #GivingTuesday will be doubled up to $20,000. Giving Tuesday’s vision in 2012 was to inspire altruism and encourage benevolence. Psychologist Jessica Myszak, Ph.D., explains altruism “is one of the most defining characteristics of what it means to be human.” Whether Dr. Myszak realized it or not, her words boldly declare the heart and soul of the pro-life movement, delivering what we know and believe – that to be human is to be pro-life.
